Objectives and short summary of activities

Experts and representatives of education ministries from the "5+5" countries usually meet, to identify joint action plans to develop education and digital contents at schools, promote digital education infrastructure and enhance training of teachers in pedagogical uses of new technologies.
The first 5+5 meeting devoted to education has brought together ten ministers of the European Union and the Arab Maghreb Union Tuesday, September 29, 2009 in Biarritz.
Luc Chatel and Hatem Ben Salem, Tunisian Minister of Education and Training, co-chaired the meeting. This forum for dialogue and exchanges focused on development of digital features and uses in schools, especially for national plans focussing on the equipment and training of teachers.
