About High Level eHealth Conference 2010
Organised jointly between the new Spanish presidency of the European Union and the European Commission, in cooperation with the Government of Catalonia and the TicSalut Foundation, the High Level eHealth Conference 2010 is a ministerial event which since 2003 has been an important annual challenge in the sector of ICT for healthcare. In this 8th edition, the subject of the congress will be “Electronic health for sustainable healthcare services: global challenges through local actions”, and it recognises the immediate perspective of a rapidly ageing European society in which the ever longer life expectancy and the consequent increase in chronic illnesses are causing serious problems around the world in sustaining the health systems. The congress will consider how and why electronic health can make the difference in facing this challenge. For further information, consult www.ehealthweek2010.org.
